This Noida restaurant offers free ‘chole bhature’ on Maldives trip cancellations

India’s dispute with the Maldives comes after three of the island’s leaders were suspended for allegedly insulting Prime Minister Narendra Modi on social media.

Maldives or cancelling their trip are offered “chole bhature”. With this, we want to promote tourism in Lakshadweep. We started the program on Saturday and the response has been great. 10 people
benefited in the NCR region. They are happy with the program. We are now planning to continue the program till the end of January,” doctor Vijay Mishra told India Today.

He added that it is not just business but also shows the support given to the country and the tourism industry. Talking about the special announcement, the restaurant owner said that the idea was
from Maldivian He said it emerged after leaders started making negative comments about Prime Minister Narendra Modi. After taking office in November, the Chinese leader said he would fulfil his
election promise to withdraw Indian troops from China.

The Maldives are India’s main base in the Indian Ocean region It is one of the offshore islands. In the previous government, all relations between the two sides, including defence and security, had
increased.

Maldivian media had previously reported that Mohamed Muizou asked India to withdraw its troops from the island country. From March 15 Muizu’s latest move comes a week after social unrest led to the
ouster of three of the island’s chiefs for allegedly saying good things about the Indian people and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Indian leaders, celebrities and tourism companies responded by
cancelling holidays on the island and promising to increase tourism to the islands.
