Team India’s T20 World Cup jersey revealed in ‘Flying’ style

Amid huge anticipation, Adidas on Monday released the official video of Team India’s T20 World Cup jersey. The introductory video shot in Dharmsala featured Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav.

Sharing a video of the new kit on Instagram, Adidas wrote: “One kit. One nation. Introducing the new Team India T20 jersey. Available in stores and online from May 7 at 10am.”

Ahead of the official launch of the Indian jersey, social media was abuzz with leaked visuals of the same.

The 20-second clip, shared by the German sportswear company, garnered nearly 6 million likes within two hours of being posted on Instagram. The video has received nearly 100,000 views on microblogging site X.

The video begins with shots focusing on Rohit Sharma donning an orange hoodie. Ravindra Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav will soon enter the picture. All three look at the sky, then the camera pans to the helicopter bringing the new jersey with the scenic backdrop of the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association stadium in Dharmsala.

Design and price of the jersey

The new T20 kit is an updated version of the blue jerseys worn by the players in the shortest format since BCCI’s partnership with Adidas. This new design combines India’s training and match kits with saffron and blue hues along with the BCCI crest on the chest.

According to the official website, the new India T20I jersey is priced at INR 5,999.

Adidas on X has announced that the jersey will be available in stores and online at adidas.co.in for a price of Rs. 5999 for fans to buy.

India’s T20 World Cup tour begins against Ireland on June 4 and the much-anticipated match against Pakistan is scheduled for June 9 in New York.
