Shahid Kapoor enters the realm of mythology with his next project! The actor, who was last seen in ‘Teri Baton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’, has been officially announced in ‘Ashwatthama – The Saga Continues’. This is the first time that Shahid is playing the role of a mythological character in a film released on Amazon Prime Video.
Ashwatthama – The Saga Continues is a mythological drama that reimagines the legend of Ashwatthama, the immortal warrior from the epic Mahabharata. The film takes place in the present day, against the background of rapid technological progress. Here, Ashwatthama faces the complexities of the modern world and faces formidable foes in a high-octane action story.
As the story progresses, the film delves into the psyche of this immortal being. We see how Swathama struggles with the weight of witnessing thousands of years of human history and how he understands the world around him.
The film is produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani and Deepshikha Deshmukh under Pooja Entertainment.

Ashwatthama – The Saga Continues will be available to stream on Amazon Prime Video after its theatrical release, the streamer announced on March 19.
Although the release date of the film is yet to be announced, the makers have revealed that it will be released in five languages – Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam.
The announcement comes after Aditya Dhar’s Ashwatthama project starring Vicky Kaushal was shelved due to budget constraints.
