What is the National Creators Award?
With the dominance of social media, the creator economy around the world is growing by leaps and bounds. Millions of digital creators on Instagram, Facebook, X and other platforms create content on various topics such as fashion, technology, general knowledge, education, travel and more.
That’s why Prime Minister Narendra Modi has created a new award category considering this fast-growing new profession in the country: creators.
Selection process
The Center opened the nomination window on its Innovate India website from February 10 to 29, 2024. According to data, more than 1.5 million nominations and around 10 million votes were cast. The prize is awarded based on the number of votes cast by the creator.
