After scoring 445 runs and dismissing the English team for 319 in the first innings in the third Test at the Niranjan Shah Cricket Stadium in Rajkot, India scored another 430 runs and declared their second innings.
However, India destroyed England’s batting line-up on the fourth day with a score of 112 all out in just 39.4 overs. In this way, India beat England by a whopping 434 runs in the third Test, India’s biggest ever win by runs in their history of 577 Tests.
Now India leads the series against England 2-1, all thanks to Yashasvi Jaiswal’s double ton, Rohit Sharma’s 11th century, Ravindra Jadeja’s 4th century, Mohammed Siraj’s 4 wickets in the first innings and Ravindra Jadeja’s second innings fifer.

Earlier in the second innings, Yashasvi Jaiswal (214*), Shubman Gill (91) and Sarfraz Khan (68*) took India to a 500-run-plus lead.
In the second innings, England’s batsmen were seen struggling from the very beginning and kept losing wickets. They lost all their wickets by 122 and lost the Test as well.
India’s previous best performance in Test cricket came in 2021 when they triumphed by 372 runs against New Zealand, followed by 337 runs against South Africa in Delhi in 2015. The big win against England has now moved India to second place in the Test World Cup rankings ( WTC).
India will take on England in the fourth Test at the JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi from February 23.
