Rohit Sharma-led India beat Sri Lanka by 10 wickets and 263 balls to remain lifting the 2023 Asia Cup trophy. India’s Mohammed Siraj bowled a magical 7 overs taking 6 wickets and became the first Indian bowler to take 4 wickets in 1 over. While Hardik Pandya also took 3 wickets while Jasprit Bumrah took 1, Sri Lanka had the second-lowest total in one-day internationals, within only 92 balls.
India captain Rohit Sharma decided to held himself back and sent Ishan Kishan to open with Shubman Gill opening the left and right. The openers Ishan and Gill to make sure there is no more drama to win the match and Kishan performed very efficiently scored the winning runs of the final, which is lasted just 21.3 overs.
