Ayodhya Railway station in Uttar Pradesh renamed Ayodhya Dham Junction

Ahead of the inauguration of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, the city’s Ayodhya Junction railway station has been renamed as Ayodhya Dham Junction, Ayodhya Member of Parliament Lallu Singh announced on social media on Wednesday.

On December 30, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the construction of a large railway station and airport in Ayodhya.

The Prime Minister will also oversee the preparations made in Ayodhya for the grand inauguration of the Ram Mandir on January 22, 2024. The main railway station will include lifts, a tourist information center and medical facilities. All types of extensive preparations are being completed.

Renovated platforms, new signboards, escalators and murals of Lord Ram painted on the walls – these and many more will be the features of the Ayodhya railway station after the ongoing redevelopment.

This station is said to have as much mythological significance as it does modern. It is built like a large temple from the outside and is equipped with equally modern facilities from the inside.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also reviews the preparations being made for the inauguration ceremony of the Ayodhya Ram Temple.

“The airport and railway stations, which were prepared in the first phase, will be inaugurated on December 30. According to estimates, around 50,000 to 55,000 people will come to Ayodhya daily after January 22 and the administration is busy making preparations for the same,” said Gaurav Dayal, Ayodhya Commissioner Gaurav Dayal.

“The facade of the building has a concrete core colonnade with sandstone cladding and its side ends have tall round columns, again with sandstone cladding to give it a traditional look,” a senior RITES official told PTI.
