Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam is one of those movies that needs to be watched multiple times. The Hindi version of the edge-of-the-seat thriller is based on the Malayalam thriller of the same name starring South Indian star Mohanlal.
Parts 1 and 2 of the film have been hailed as one of the best mystery thrillers ever made in Indian cinema. After a roaring success at the Indian box office, the film is now all set for a Hollywood remake.
The deal was done between Panorama Studio who tied up with Gulfstream Pictures and JOAT Films to acquire the rights of ‘Drishyam’ 1 & 2 in Hollywood.
Kumar Mangat Pathak, Chairman and MD, Panorama Studios, said at a press conference. Drishyam’s clever storytelling has a universal appeal and we would like to celebrate this story with audiences around the world. We are very happy to work with Gulfstream Pictures and JOAT Films to make this story in English for Hollywood.
