Rishi Sunak is a British politician who was Chancellor of Finance from 2020 to 2022 and former Chief Secretary to the Treasury from 2019 to 2020. Rishi Sunak is also a Conservative Party member and former Member of Parliament (MP) for Richmond (Yorks) since 2015. and Prime Minster of the United Kingdom in October 2022.
Rishi Sunak’s parents work for the local community. On his blog, He explains that his father is an NHS family GP. My mother also runs a local specialty pharmacy. He narrated how he always wanted to make that same positive difference to people as a Member of Parliament. He was first elected to represent voters in 2015 and was re-elected in 2017 and 2019.

Rishi Sunak’s early life
Rishi Sunak was born on 12 May 1980 in Southampton to Hindu parents Yashvir and Usha Sunak. He is the eldest of three siblings. His father, Yashvir, was born and raised in a Kenyan colony and protectorate, while his mother, Usha, was born in Tanzania.
Father Yashvir is a general practitioner and Usha is a pharmacist who runs a local pharmacy. Rishi completed his education at Stroaded school, a preparatory school in Romsey, Hampshire, where he worked as a teacher and editor of the school newspaper. Rishi also works as a waiter at a curry house in Southampton during the holidays.
He studied Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Lincoln College, Oxford and graduated with a first class in 2001.
One of the interesting things about Rishi was that in 2001 he and his family were interviewed in a BBC documentary about the middle class: they are growing and expanding. Five years later, in 2006, he earned an MBA from Stanford and became a Fulbright Scholar.

While studying at Stanford University, he met his future wife, Infosys founder NR Narayana Murthy, and Akshata Murthy, daughter of famous author Sudha Murthy.
He married Akshata Murthy in 2009 and they have two children named Krishna Sunak and daughter Anoushka Sunak.

Rish Sunak’s political career
A young politician is nominated as the Conservative Party candidate in Richmond. In the same year, he also chaired the Black and Minority Affairs Committee in the Communications Policy Department.
He was also elected MP for Richmond from 2015-2017 in the 2015 general election and served on the Environment, Food and Housing Committee away from the city.
Sunak was re-elected as a deputy from the same seat in the 2017 elections. He also served as Deputy Prime Minister in 2018 and 2019 and supported Prime Minister Boris Johnson in the 2019 Conservative Party leadership election. He also published an article against Johnson during the regular elections in the National Daily in June 2019.
