Kangana Ranaut postpones ‘Emergency’ movie release for election campaign

Bollywood actor-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut is contesting from Mandi constituency, Himachal Pradesh. On Thursday, she announced that she has postponed the release of her most anticipated film ‘Emergency’ due to her political commitments and election campaign.

Ranaut will play the role of former Prime Minister of India Indira Gandhi. The film was supposed to hit theaters on June 14.

The ‘Manikarnika’ actress took to Instagram to share her heartfelt poster expressing her gratitude for the support she has received during that time. She also shed light on her commitments to her duties to the nation and her political responsibility at this crucial time.

She said her heart is full of love pouring in from her fans. The statement further said that Kangana prioritizes her duty to the nation and commitment to serve the country.

‘Emergency’ is an upcoming biographical political drama in Hindi written, directed and produced by Kangana Ranaut. The film also stars Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Mahima Chaudhry, Milind Soman and Satish Kaushik in other key roles.

Screenplay and dialogues are written by Ritesh Shah and music is directed by Sanchit Balhara. The Emergency aims to fascinate the audience by portraying a significant chapter in India’s political history.
