Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF), known for its dairy brand Nandini, has announced the sponsorship of the Scotland and Ireland teams for the upcoming T20 Cricket World Cup.
The T20 Cricket World Cup 2024, which is scheduled to be co-hosted by the West Indies and the United States of America from June 1 to 29, boasts a record 20 teams participating in this year’s edition of the Twenty20 cricket championship.
Apart from sponsoring the teams, KMF is set to introduce Nandini Splash, an energy drink derived from whey, during the tournament, according to the KMF executive director.
In an interview with India today, KMF CEO MK Jagadish said, “It is true. We will be sponsoring both the cricket teams in the World Cup. We want to come up with energy drinks. In this World Cup, we want the focused product to be global”.

Nandini is an associate sponsor of the Bengaluru Bulls team in the Pro Kabaddi League. Although efforts were made to sponsor IPL team Royal Challengers Bengaluru, the idea did not materialize as it proved to be expensive, Jagadish said.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released the schedule for the T20 World Cup 2024, which is co-hosted by the United States of America and the West Indies from June 1 to June 29, 2024. This tournament is expected to be historic. The tournament will open with a match between the United States and Canada. The matches of this ICC World Cup competition will be played in USA for the first time. The event will feature 55 matches across 9 venues.
The 2024 T20 World Cup will be contested by 20 national teams, up from the 16 countries that competed in the previous event.
