Selena Gomez’s musical crime-comedy Emilia Pérez, directed by French filmmaker Jacques Audiard, will premiere at this year’s Cannes Film Festival in May, the singer and actress announced on Instagram Thursday.
“I’ve been waiting to show you this!! I’m so grateful Emilia Pérez directed by Jacques Audiard will premiere at @festivaldecannes in May,” the Love On singer captioned the movie’s character posters.
In the first poster, Selena is wearing a floral jacket and bleached short hair. They are standing in a room dimly lit by neon lights. The second picture shows the representative of Single Soon singer Karla Sofía Gascón, who plays the title character in the film. She wears a bra and a floral skirt and shows her back profile in the portrait. In the third photo, Zoe Saldana strikes a dynamic pose in a bright red pantsuit.

Selena’s film will screen alongside Yórgos Lanthimos’ Kinds of Kindness with Poor Things actors Emma Stone and Will Dafoe, Ali Abbasi’s The Apprentice and Paul Schrader’s Oh Canada with Richard Gere in the “In Competition” section of the 77th annual film festival. .
Emilia Pérez is Selena’s last film venture. He is currently filming the fourth season of the Hulu crime-comedy Only Murders in the Building, in which he stars alongside Martin Short and Steve Martin. Selena will also reunite with her Wizards of Waverly Place co-star David Henrie for the sitcom reboot.
Emilia Pérez, which also stars Adriana Paz and Edgar Ramírez, is set to open in theaters on August 28.
