The 96th Academy Awards were held at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood. On March 11, the prestigious awards ceremony began at 4:30 am (Indian time). Jimmy Kimmel hosted the show for the fourth time.
“Oppenheimer” led the way with 13 nominations in major categories such as best picture, best director and best actor, including supporting actor and cinematographer.
The film ended up being a dominant force in terms of wins as well, with Christopher Nolan winning Best Director and Cillian Murphy winning Best Actor as well as Best Picture.
