19 Indian universities make it to top 200 in QS Asia Universities Ranking 2023

As many as 19 Indian universities are among the top 200 universities in the QS Asia Universities Ranking, with the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay once again ranked 40th this year.

This is the highest number of Indian universities ever to make the top 200 list in the QS Asia Universities Rankings. Additionally, there are 8 Indian universities in the top 200 of the QS Asia Rankings, which have improved compared to last year.

The QS Asia Universities Ranking, 2023 was published on Tuesday by the International Ranking agency (Quacquarelli Symonds).

According to an official statement, this year the universities that have been ranked in QS Asia’s top 200 universities are IIT Bombay (40th), IIT Delhi (46th), IISc Bangalore (52nd), IIT Madras (53rd), IIT Kharagpur (61st ), IIT Kanpur (66) University of Delhi (85), IIT Rorkee (114), JNU (119), IIT Guwahati (124), VIT Vellore (173), University of Calcutta (181), Jadavpur University (182), Anna University (185), Chandigarh University (185), IIT Indore (185), BITS Pilani (188), Jamia Millia Islamia (188) and Amity University Noida (200).

Chandigarh University Gharuan secures 185th rank in Asia, 14th in India and 2nd among private universities in India, making Chandigarh University, Gharuan, the youngest university in Asia, among the top 200 universities in the QS Asia Universities of Asia and University which had the highest quantum jump of 90 positions compared to QS Asia Rankings, 2022.

All the Indian universities that appeared in the top 200 ranking have improved their academic reputation and international research network.
